Brenton Booth lives in Sydney, Australia. He started writing when he was 19. Began sending literary journals when he was 24. After nearly 10 years of rejections he had his first poem accepted for publication. Since then he has been published in over 200 journals and anthologies internationally, including New York Quarterly, North Dakota Quarterly, Gargoyle, Chiron Review, Main Street Rag, Heavy Feather Review, Naugatuck River Review, San Pedro River Review, 3AM Magazine, Epic Rites Press, Modern Drunkard, Lummox, Big Hammer, Pski's Porch, Van Goghs Ear, Underground Voices and Nerve Cowboy. He has been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize and is the author of 3 chapbooks, Dying Under an Unforgiving Sun, Dancing on the Cactus, Drowned as the Fish, and the full-length collections Punching the Teeth from the Sky, and Bash the Keys Until They Scream, all available from Epic Rites Press (Canada).
